Welcome!

Welcome to our little church in south west Devon, England. Our building (above) does not have the normal appearance of a church, more resembling a house and being in a row of houses in the main Fore Street of the village, but it has been in existence for nearly 200 years.

Bere Alston is near Tavistock, which is on the edge of Dartmoor, and is in the parish of Bere Ferrers. The two villages of Bere Ferrers and Bere Alston are on a peninsula created by the rivers Tamar and Tavy in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are just north of Plymouth, fortunately separated from it by the River Tavy! (For a map of the immediate area, click here. For a map of Bere Alston with our church marked go here. For more Web pages with information about Devon see the Other Sites of Interest page.)

We hope you will enjoy your tour around our site and would like to welcome you in person one day soon.

You don't need to be able to hear the sound or see the videos to enjoy the site, but if you want to hear music you will need Windows Media Player, which comes free with Windows XP and Vista, or an alternative player. If you don't have one, you can download one here. To see the videos you need Flash 8, so if they don't work you can download it by visiting www.Adobe.com

But enjoy it anyway!
